SYNBONE Portfolio for Ballistic Testing In cooperation with ballistics specialists from swiss defence sector SYNBONE has developed a range of generic bone models which are suitable for simulating the effects of ammunition on human bones. These geometrically simplified models are constructed from specially formulated polyurethane which indicates the same outcome as a real bone when struck by projectiles. The models are available as flat sheets, tubes or hollow spheres and are normally supplied with a rubber simulating the periosteum.
