6. Light the cigarette and use the hand pump to simulate smoking.
7. Continue pumping until the cigarette burns down.
8. Safely dispose of the cigarette stub in water.
9. Remove the cigarette holder and filters to examine the results.
10. Use a tissue or cotton bud to collect third-hand smoke residue.

Cleaning
To clean the transparent cylinder, use a damp cloth with glass ceramic cleaning detergent, rinse with water, and dry. For black plastic parts, soak them overnight in a mixture of water, salt, and vinegar.
