• Remove all excess blood from the intended site by blotting, wiping, or suctioning. Removing excess blood allows SURGISPON®powder to make direct contact with the site. • Immediately apply a generous amount of SURGISPON® powder. • For profuse bleeding, apply moderate compression to the source of bleeding using a dry compress. Irrigation with saline before carefully removing the gauze is recommended. • Moisten the compress with sterile saline solution before removal and remove it carefully • If bleeding continues, remove excess particles, and repeat the procedure.
