Product catalog summary
Overview: The NIOX® Flex Nitric Oxide Monitoring System is a non-invasive tool designed to measure airway inflammation through Fractional Exhaled Nitric Oxide (Feno). It is suitable for patients aged 4 and up, CE marked, and FDA cleared for clinical use. The system provides immediate, accurate, and reproducible results, complying with ATS/ERS guidelines.
Specifications: The system features a user-friendly operation with visual feedback, a self-test for system reliability, and patient database management with easy data transfer via USB. It uses chemiluminescence for high sensitivity and specificity in measuring NO molecules.
Procedures: The measurement process involves inhaling NO-free air to eliminate contamination, followed by a steady exhalation with visual aids to maintain constant flow. The system calculates the Feno value by creating an NO plateau during exhalation.
Standards and Compliance: NIOX Flex complies with ATS/ERS guidelines for exhaled NO measurement and is recognized as the international gold standard. It is ETL-Classified and 510(k) cleared by the FDA.
Reproducibility and Reliability: Clinical studies show excellent repeatability with standard deviations of 1.6 and 2.1 ppb. The system includes an automatic self-test and maintenance guide to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Additional Features: The system includes a single-patient filter to prevent cross-contamination and offers comprehensive patient reports with detailed measurement results.
Research and Development: Developed by Aerocrine, the system is based on extensive research and is supported by nearly 1,500 clinical papers. It is designed to improve the diagnosis and management of asthma and other inflammatory disorders.

Casting new light on airway inflammation he NIOX® Flex Nitric Oxide Monitoring System offers a unique tool for improving the diagnosis and management of asthma through the measurement of Fractional Exhaled Nitric Oxide – Feno. NIOX Flex is the successor of NIOX, the established market leader, which, according to opinion surveys, has been globally recognized as the gold standard by researchers and clinical physicians. NIOX Flex is the result of years of extensive research and development by Aerocrine. The founders of Aerocrine were the first to determine the presence of nitric oxide (NO) in exhaled...

Chemiluminescence. NIOX® Flex uses the high sensitivity and high specificity of a chemiluminescence gas analyzer, the most accurate method available for measuring NO molecules at very low concentrations. NO-free air (scrubbed inhalation air) eliminates contamination from high ambient nitric oxide (NO) levels as stated in the ATS/ ERS guidelines. Patient dead space is exhaled unrestricted, without flow regulation to assure correct Feno result. Visual aid for the patient. Exhalation pressure may vary between 10 and 20 cm H2O without affecting flow. Unique dynamic NIOX Flow Control keeps exhalation...

Instructions Automatic Self Test between patient measurements validates the calibration and detects any zero-point drift in order to ensure that every Feno value is accurate and reproducible. Default Test Settings ensure that collected measurements comply with ATS/ERS guidelines and that the exhalation quality is assured. 1. xhale: While seated, the patient E exhales. 2. nhale NO-free air: Using the I mouthpiece, the patient inhales NO-free air to total lung capacity. This eliminates any contamination from high ambient NO levels. Automatic Maintenance Guide. A reminder indicates when to perform...
