Receiving orders and scheduling Electronic orders received from EPR or HIS are sent to IMPAX RIS for evaluation, scheduling, or immediate processing. Important: STAT/emergency orders can be defined to immediately and automatically appear on top of the radiologist worklist for direct reporting. When scheduling, all relevant information provided by the electronic order is taken into account, including all specified criteria to determine the best time slot for an appointment. Appointments can easily be cancelled or rescheduled, allowing authorized users to handle overbooking and emergency situations....

Patient registration and arrival Typically patient demographic information is synchronized with the HIS via an (HL7) ADT interface. In the rare cases when this interface is missing, the information can be entered manually.
