The battery life is 2 - 4 years and will also report when the battery is getting low. The fall detector uses both pressure sensing technology and a solid state, dual axis accelerometer to detect when a fall has occurred. It allows for further configuration by giving you the choice of 5 sensitivity settings so as to tailor the device to the individual. It is also equipped with 3 auto cancel modes as well as the ability to disable this facility.
