ProCare® Quick-Fit™ Shoulder Immobilizer Patient Application Instructions APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: BEFORE USING THE DEVICE, PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY. CORRECT APPLICATION IS VITAL TO THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE DEVICE. APPLICATION INFORMATION: Sling is Universal and may be sized to fit by folding sling back into itself and attaching hook-and-loop under O-rings to hook engageable material on inside of arm sling. Detach shoulder strap and open front panel of arm sling envelope. Loosely drape shoulder strap over shoulder. Position elbow in the sling as far back as possible. Once sized properly, pull shoulder strap through both O-rings at front of sling and secure on strap. Adjust strap until proper fit is identified. Place pillow at the waistline of the affected side. Note: Quick Release Buckle on Waist Strap must be at front of body - if it is not, flip pillow over. Quick release buckle is for patient ease of use and must be worn to front of patient. Attach the sling to the outside of the pillow, along the contact closure strips. Buckle the waist strap to the pillow and adjust the strap to fit. Position the arm for desired internal or external rotation by sliding the pillow forward or back along the waistline WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS: If you experience any pain, swelling, sensation changes, or any unusual reactions while using this product, consult your medical professional immediately. Never wear support over an open wound. USE AND CARE: Hand wash the sling in cold water using mild soap, rinse thoroughly. Air Dry. Note: If not rinsed thoroughly, residual soap may cause irritation and deteriorate material. The abduction pillow can be wiped with a damp cloth - do not immerse abduction pillow in liquid.
