About the company Airlife Swiss AG started business activities in the Russian market 25 years ago in the area of professional air purification and disinfection, mainly for critical environments such as hospitals, clean rooms, food processing, and the pharmaceutical industry where it is essential to clean air of mechanical, microbiological, and chemical pollutants. The unique technology of filter staging provides a very high filtering efficiency and is also applied in our stand alone devices used in rooms which usually do not have mechanical ventilation. All the products are easy to install,...

Issues resolved by AL Multi-tasking The AL systems purify the air, removing all chemical, microbiological, and mechanical pollutants like aerosols, dust, smog, allergens, unpleasant odors, viruses, bacteria, etc. The systems completely remove and inactivate any type of microorganisms, including UV-C radiation and ozone resistant strains. Reducing the risk of healthcare-associated infections The use of the AL air purification and disinfection systems mitigates the risk of spreading airborne infections. Inside the device, all types of microorganisms are inactivated; moreover, the cell matter...

AL technology The AL systems are equipped with integrated air purification and disinfection technology. The high efficiency of air filtration and disinfection is achieved by the combined and sequential application of mechanical, electrostatic, photocatalytic, and adsorption filters. All of the system's units are interconnected in both physical and physicochemical ways. Each stage of filtration increases the efficiency of the next stage, which allows to minimize the limitations of each individual filter. 1. Pre-filter – This filter retains large particles of dust and ash. Filtration class...

3. Combined polarized photocatalytic filter – The filter traps particles up to 0.1 μm in size, adsorbs unpleasant odors, toxic chemical substances, allergens, viruses, and bacteria. The polarized filter causes the charged particles to precipitate, reaching a filtration efficiency of 99.9% with minimal airflow resistance. The photocatalyst uses soft UV radiation to oxidize organic compounds into harmless components – carbon dioxide, water, and atmospheric nitrogen. 4. UV-A emitters – UV radiation provides the energy for activating the photocatalyst. The device’s UV lamps emit UV light with...

Photocatalysis Basically, the photocatalytic purification process is the oxidation of substances on the surface of a catalyst under soft spectrum A UV-radiation and a wavelength over 300 nm. It means that all molecular and microbiological air pollutants (including bacteria, viruses, mold spores) are adsorbed on the photocatalyst surface and decompose to carbon dioxide, water, and atmospheric nitrogen under soft UV-radiation. The method provides a unique opportunity to oxidize the organic compounds to the fullest under mild conditions, as all processes occur at room temperature. This makes...

Inactivation Inactivation is a partial or full loss of activity by a biologically active substance or agent. The microorganisms need to be inactivated (i.e. no live microorganisms are allowed on the filters) for the following reasons: • to prevent multiplication of the microorganisms in the filtering elements, and, subsequently, to guarantee that no microorganism can escape from the room where the device operates. There are well-known examples of pathogens that survived on the filter and began to multiply, transforming the air purifier and disinfectant into an air pollutant that...
