Airborne particle filter (HEPA) FILTER TECHNOLOGY Precise filtering The HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter particle filter removes particles with a diameter between 0.3 µm and 2.5 µm from the air, such as viruses and bacteria, pollen and mite droppings as well as mold spores and gases. The particles get caught in the tightly woven glass fiber mats, which are folded for a greatly increased surface area.
