Product catalog summary
Overview: The POLYPURE® S Mid Flux Series is a line of dialyzers by Allmed, designed for optimal clearance and endotoxin protection. It features micro-undulated technology and autoclaved steam sterilization, ensuring high efficiency and safety for patients.
Key Features:
  • Micro-Undulated Technology: Enhances efficiency by preventing 'bundles' and 'dead-zones', increasing the surface exchange between blood, membrane, and dialysate.
  • Autoclaved Steam Sterilization: Recognized by The International Pharmacopeia, it avoids harmful substances, requires lower priming volumes, and has less environmental impact compared to other methods.
  • Endotoxin Protection: The asymmetrical membrane with a 40μm thickness prevents endotoxin transfer, reducing systemic inflammation and associated cardiovascular risks.
Performance Data:
  • Clearance rates for substances like urea, creatinine, phosphate, vitamin B12, and inulin are provided for different blood flow rates (QB = 200, 300, 400 ml/min).
  • Surface area ranges from 1.0 to 2.2 m², with ultrafiltration coefficients from 12.1 to 24.3 ml/hr*mmHg.
  • Blood priming volumes vary from 59 to 115 ml depending on the model.
Technical Specifications:
  • Housing Material: Polycarbonate
  • Potting Material: Polyurethane
  • Membrane Material: Micro-undulated polysulfone
  • Internal Diameter: 200 μm
  • Wall Thickness: 40 μm
Environmental and Safety Considerations: The use of steam sterilization minimizes environmental impact and enhances patient safety by avoiding the generation of potentially dangerous substances.

POLYPURE® S-1

POLYPURE® S Mid Flux Series STEA M POLYPURE® S–Allmed’s middle flux dialyser with optimal clearances. Offering excellent endotoxin protection consistent with Allmed membranes with the additional advantage of autoclaved steam sterilisation. Micro-undulated technology: highest efficacy Micro-undulation technology ensures the highest efficiency and clearances thanks to “bundles” and “dead-zones” prevention, together with the optimally increased surface exchange of blood-membrane-dialysate. Autoclaved steam sterilisation:
the best for patients & the environment • No potentially dangerous substances are generated during autoclaved steam sterilisation
 • Lower priming volume requirements compared to other sterilisation methods for the same product (see DFU)
 • Optimised rheology during clinical use
 • Autoclave steam sterilisation is the only steam sterilisation recognised by The International Pharmacopeia (Methods of Sterilisation–VI Edition) • Less impact on the environment compared with irradiation and ethylene oxide Protection from endotoxins: reduced inflammation POLYPURE® asymmetrical membrane with an optimised micro-undulated fibre structure and 40μm thickness, enhances the membrane’s ability to prevent endotoxin transfer due to its geometrical and adsorptive capacity capability. Systemic inflammation is well recognised to be associated with an increased cardiovascular disease risk in patients with chronic renal disease. Exposure to endotoxins results in a release of a wide variety of pro-inflammatory cytokines, with subsequent chronic systemic inflammation and a broad range of negative cardiovascular effects. Chronic inflammation can also modify the process of erythropoiesis and probably induces resistance to erythropoietin.
