Diagnostix e-sphyg 7002 - Literature - 1

espite amazing advances in medical instrumentation, the basic aneroid sphygmomanometer has remained virtually unchanged since its invention. The Digital Aneroid is completely new. We’ve taken the basic professional aneroid - a mainstay of the healthcare profession - and simply gone digital. We’ve replaced the diaphragm, gears, springs, and linkages the very components that make an aneroid vulnerable to shock, vibration, over-inflation and wear - and replaced them with electronic pressure sensors, IC chips and a backlit extra large, easy to read, liquid crystal digital display. The Multifunction Display The 1.5” square LCD contains 5 distinct segments. • At the top, and the largest, is the cuff pressure indicator. The digits are a whopping 7/8” tall. Compare that to the 1/16” graduation marks you’re forced to read on traditional aneroids. • Beneath that, and to the right, deflation rate is displayed to promote correct measurement • A battery power warning symbol • A check calibration symbol completes the display. • An instrument that is shock resistant to a whopping 60 inches. • A flashing heart symbol begins “beating” approximately 20mmHg before the onset of Korotkoff sounds. • An instrument that is as easy to read in daylight as it is in a darkened room. Automatic Backlight • An instrument that displays deflation rate to promote more accurate measurements. Instead of forcing you to fumble for a backlight switch, the Digital Aneroid has an automatic backlight. You’ll be able to read the display in daylight or a darkened room. • An instrument that is so efficient it gets up to 1500 cycles on two “AAA” batteries. • An instrument that provides two battery strength warnings - advance and urgent to ensure you never lose power at an inopportune time. • An instrument that doesn’t require special cuffs. In fact, it will work with virtually every major brand of blood pressure cuff on the market (though we don’t know why you wouldn’t use the ADCUFFTM). • An instrument with a “systolic assist”TM that will alert you about 20mmHg before the onset of Korotkoff sounds. • A pulse monitor that will display pulse rate once measurement is complete. • An instrument that will remind you to check calibration once per year or every 10,000 cycles, whichever comes first. • An instrument that will turn itself off to conserve battery strength Works with all cuffs The rear cuff clip allows mounting to virtually every major cuff on the market today. A locking connector permits rapid, yet secure connection. At just 3.14 ounces it won’t weigh down even the smallest infant cuffs. It’s the Last Manometer you will ever need……… While most electronic instruments are warranted for no more than a year, our digital aneroid is warranted to remain accurate for LIFE. Combined with our 3 year ADCUFFTM Inflation system warranty, we provide total protection for your instrument. 55 Commerce Drive Hauppauge, New York 11788 1-800-ADC-2670 Fax 631-273-9659 www.adctoday.com
