American Ultraviolet Recessed Troffer (RT) Germicidal Fixtures American Ultraviolet Recessed Troffer Germicidal Fixtures are manufactured to meet ultraviolet requirements for environments that include hospitals, pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, clean rooms and laboratories, among others. Applications For germicidal applications, RT fixtures are available with two or four high-intensity germicidal ultraviolet lamps. For germicidal/illumination applications, American Ultraviolet combines ultraviolet germicidal lamps with fluorescent white lamps in one fixture, and individual ballasting provides selective switching without the need for separate fixtures. RT Series Fixtures are constructed of die-formed one-piece steel heavily embossed laterally and horizontally for maximum rigidity. Highly reflective aluminum, and recessed housing with a hinged door that incorporates the optical egg-crate louvers, combine for a modern appearance and enhanced germicidal ultraviolet protection. The door is held closed by two inconspicuous fingeroperated metal slide latches. Die-formed embossments under the ballast housing are designed for maximum heat dissipation. Type E Recessed Troffers are for exposed grid ceilings, while Type M Recessed Troffers are for plaster ceilings.
