Integrity™ Implant System

Product catalog summary
Product Introduction
The Anika Integrity Implant is a synthetic scaffold designed for rotator cuff repair, offering high tensile strength, suture retention, and tear resistance. It supports regenerative healing through a hyaluronic acid-based scaffold.
Material Science
The implant is made from HYAFF®, a hyaluronic acid technology, and reinforced with PET for biostability and strength. HYAFF® aids tissue regeneration and resorbs over time.
Biological Role of Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid modulates inflammation and healing at the cellular level and supports tissue growth and repair.
Strength and Porosity
The implant has 50% greater tensile strength and over three times the suture retention and tear resistance compared to leading collagen implants. Its porous structure enhances cell interaction for tissue regeneration.
Components
The system includes tissue tacks, bone staples, and delivery instruments for effective fixation and ease of use during surgery.
Surgical Technique Approaches
Suitable for tendon injuries like the rotator cuff and Achilles tendon, with both arthroscopic and open surgical approaches available.
Preclinical Data
Studies show the implant increases tendon thickness more than competitive collagen implants, demonstrating superior regenerative capacity.
Competitive Information
Compared with products like REGENETEN™ and BioBrace®, the Integrity Implant offers high strength and regenerative biology.
Reimbursement
Includes procedure codes and reimbursement information for shoulder and foot & ankle procedures, emphasizing consultation with payors and coding specialists.
Instructions for Use
The implant is a knitted porous mesh of resorbable and non-absorbable fibers, designed to augment injured tendons.
Product Description
A pliable, nonfriable, porous patch made from absorbable and non-absorbable fibers, provided sterile for single use in various sizes.
Intended Use
For managing and protecting tendon injuries without substantial tissue loss.
Indications for Use
Suitable for tendon injuries without significant tissue loss.
Contraindications
Not for replacing damaged tendons, reinforcing tendon repairs, use in infections, or patients with hypersensitivity to components.
Warnings
Discard unused products, do not use post-expiration, and ensure familiarity with surgical techniques. Do not modify the implant before use.
Precautions
Inspect for damage before use, avoid reuse, and ensure bleeding and infection control before application.
Adverse Effects
Possible allergic reactions, infections, pain, and device malfunction.
MRI Safety
The implant is MRI safe.
Instructions for Use
Follow standard tendon treatment procedures, select appropriate implant size, secure implant with fixation, and close incision.
Storage
Store dry at room temperature, avoid temperatures above 113°F (45°C), and check temperature indicators.
Bone Staple Description
The Integrity Bone Staple is for soft tissue graft fixation, provided sterile for single use.
Intended Use
For fixation of soft tissue grafts or reinforcement meshes to bone during rotator cuff repairs.
Contraindications
Not for reinforcing tendon repairs or use with inadequate bone quality.
Warnings
Do not use if packaging is compromised, for single use only, and ensure proper implant security.
Storage
Store at room temperature, avoid temperatures above 104°F (40°C), and check temperature indicators.
Tissue Tack Description
The Integrity Tissue Tack is an absorbable tack for soft tissue fixation, provided sterile for single use.
Intended Use
For approximation of soft tissue and fixation of surgical mesh during procedures like rotator cuff repair.
Contraindications
Not for affixing soft tissue to soft tissue or reinforcing tendon repairs.
Warnings
Do not use if packaging is compromised, for single use only, and ensure proper implant security.
Storage
Store at room temperature, avoid temperatures above 104°F (40°C), and check temperature indicators.
Medical Education
Anika offers educational programs for healthcare providers, including courses, labs, and surgeon discussions.
Customer Service
Anika provides support for orders, billing, and technical inquiries through dedicated service lines.
Reimbursement Hotline
Anika partners with MCRA for reimbursement and coding support, available via phone or email.
Product Specifications
Sterile, single-use implants with a shelf-life of 1 year. Store at room temperature between 59°F (15°C) and 86°F (30°C).
Ordering Information
Implants available in two sizes: 20x25mm and 25x30mm. Instruments include the Integrity Delivery Instrument for Bone Staple and Tissue Tack, and the Integrity Cannula/Obturator Kit. The Implant Fixation Kit includes PEEK Bone Staples and PLGA Tissue Tacks.
