Fidex: Physical Specifications - 1

Fidex: Physical Specifications Functionality Three powerful operating modes in a single unit: • CT: Computed Tomography for 3D visualization, with added Preview Mode. DR: Digital Radiography at any gantry angle. CT Preview: 8 cm x 40 cm with patient at isocenter. CT Volume scan: 8 cm, 15 cm and 23 cm diameter with patient at isocenter; a single gantry rotation covers 8 cm of scan length. Scan Times, Image Quality and Dose • DR: Up to 100 ms at 120 kV/60 mA or 36 mR - sufficient for tissue thickness above 30 cm. CT Preview: Approximately5 sec for 40 cm, facilitating proper positioning of the patient and computercontrolled scan length determination CT Volume: Automatic positioning, up to 42 cm scan length. Scan times range from 7 sec for a single revolution scan in 4 x 4 binning to 350 sec for a scan volume of 23 cm diameter and 40 cm length. Spatial resolution is greater than 20 lp/cm isotropic. Low-contrast resolution is approximately 25 HU (Hounsfield Units) depending on dose. Dose selection in Volume CT made through choice of projection number from 256 to 745. Fluoroscopy: Acquisition pulsed at 5 to 60 frames/sec, up to 400 sec total duration. Real-time display up to 30 frames per second. Instant display, replay in digital movie mode. Footswitch controlled. Variable up to 60 mA at 120 kV, selectable at the gantry control panel or at the console. Rotational fluoroscopy with patient at isocenter. Visualization: Image evaluation is supported from the main console through a graphical user interface. Pre-sets are available in the form of user-editable templates, saving time and providing comparative evaluation. DR: Monochrome B/W or inverse; multiple filter sets including bone, soft tissue and standard, zoom, and window/level. CT: MPR/MIP with orthogonal or oblique planes, slab view, measurement of HU and distances. Animage, LLC 3825 Hopyard Rd. #220, Pleasanton, CA 94588

Volume rendering is accessible for all CT slice data sets. Opacity functions can be taken from the presets, or constructed on the histogram window. 3D rotation, cut planes, zoom, measurement, and annotation are easily performed by mouse and keyboard commands. Scenes comprising a 3D image with associated view direction and opacity function can be stored as snapshots. Screenshots can be stored for quick review and exported to e-mail and other tools. DICOM Functionality • Fidex provides functionality according to the DICOM Conformance Statement at www.animage-llc.com/. DICOM images (CT slices,...
