Ready to use, alcoholic hand rub for the hygienic and surgical hand disinfection Fields of application: Nosocomial infections are most commonly transmitted by contaminated hands. Thus, regular and thorough hand disinfection is vital for the effective infection prevention and control, particularly in the medical sector. In order to improve the compliance in hand hygiene, a hand disinfectant should efficiently reduce pathogens in a short contact time, sink in rapidly, and provide very good skin compatibility. Manorapid® r.f.u. is a ready to use, alcoholic hand rub for the hygienic and surgical hand disinfection. The product possesses a strong microbicidal efficacy, whereas the caring agent lanolin provides excellent skin compatibility, making the product most suitable for frequent use. Application: For the hygienic hand disinfection: Rub undiluted product into hands and keep them moist for the entire contact time. Manorapid® r.f.u. is already effective after 15 seconds. According to the current state of the art we recommend a contact time of 30 seconds, though. For the surgical hand disinfection: Rub undiluted product into hands and lower arms and keep them moist for the entire contact time. Manorapid® r.f.u. is already effective after 1 minute.
