7 Maintenance and cleaning Within the specified service life, the Germlyser® AM is maintenance free. The sterilising grade filter can be treated externally with standard surface disinfectants.. When changing the Germlyser® AM, small amounts of unfiltered water always accumulate. Over time, these lead to deposits on and inside the adapters. For this reason, the adapters should be checked for functionality and calcification at regular intervals and replaced as required. If there is a deviation from the specification or the packaging of the Germlyser AM is damaged, the product must be returned to Aqua free with the form “Defect report” (download at www.aqua-free.com). ® Germlyser® AM Contents 1 Product The Germlyser® Filter must be stored properly (dry and hygienically) at a temperature of 10° to 50°C. 3 Marking 4 reparation for commissioning and use of P the product 5 Uninstalling the used filters/filter change The Germlyser® reusable filter is returned to Aqua free for reprocessing within the agreed time (form download “Return of Germlyser® membrane filters“ in the Service area at www.aqua-free.com). 6 Accessories 7 Maintenance/cleaning 8 Storage 9 Returns 1 Product 1.1 Product description The Germlyser® AM is a CE marked, terminal sterilising grade filter for use as a mobile shower in intensive care units for the prevention of bacterial nosocomial infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Legionella pneumophila, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia or Staphylococcus aureus in immunosuppressed and immunocompromised patients by interrupting the transmission path of these germs through filtration of the water and protecting against retrograde contamination during the use of the water taps through hygienic design and antimicrobial protection functions.
