Open the catalog to page 1Indications Sourire is indicated for spinal instabilities and degenerative disc diseases requiring a permanent stabilization, especially for cervical diseases located between C3 and T1, where segmental spondylodesis are recommended, as for example: ■ Disc prolapse ■ Spinal arthritic modifications with consecutive canal stenosis Features ■ Mouth shaped design ■ Optimal stability through tripod configuration ■ Ideal fit to the cervical spine anatomy ■ Lordosis ■ Radiolucency for post-operative diagnostic (CT scan or MRI) ■ Posterior titanium pins for a clear cage positioning with respect to the...
Open the catalog to page 2Procedure Sourire instrumentation is simple and easy. Either the insertion instrument or the trial cages are easily identified in a simple container. Using the trial cages, the operator determines first the implant ideal height and size. Then, the Sourire final positioning is always achieved intra-operatively under radiological control. During the Sourire implantation, a precise exposure out of soft tissues of the spinal segment using the C-arm is required. As for any interbody implant, the endplates of the upper and underlying vertebral body should not be hurt intra-operatively to avoid any...
