The suture is made from #5 UHMWPE. The knotless construct requires a coreless suture to cinch on itself and in the process, creates a core similar to FiberWire ® . How does the Knotless TightRope work? The #5 UHMWPE suture is manufactured in a way that creates a “fingertrap“ on itself. As the tails of the suture are pulled, the outer core cinches on itself. This creates a locked construct that will not loosen. How strong is the Knotless TightRope compared to the Knotted TightRope?
