Product catalog summary
Overview: The DD-7 Digital Differential Refractometer is designed for high-accuracy measurement of low-concentration liquids by comparing the refractive index of two solutions. It is suitable for applications in food and beverage industries, as well as for cleaning and industrial solutions.
Specifications:
  • Measurement Method: Differential optical refraction.
  • Measurement Range: 0.000 to 2.000% concentration for sucrose solutions, with a refractive index up to 1.50 (nD).
  • Accuracy: ±0.005% for sucrose solutions at 30°C.
  • Minimum Display Unit: 0.001%.
  • Temperature Control: 5°C to 10°C above ambient, up to 40°C (heating only).
  • Ambient Temperature: 10 to 30°C.
  • Display: Two 24-character lines on LCD.
  • Light Source: LED; Light Sensor: Dual-type photo-diode.
  • Output: RS-232C for digital printer or computer connection.
  • Power Supply: AC100 to 240V, 50/60Hz; Consumption: 50VA.
  • Dimensions: 36(W) × 35(D) × 14(H) cm; Weight: 5.8 kg.
Applications:
  • Food and Beverages: Measures low-concentration liquids like tea, coffee, and diet beverages with high precision.
  • Cleaning Solutions: Suitable for measuring concentrations of sanitizers and disinfectants with precision levels of ±0.012% or higher.
  • Industrial Solutions: Measures surfactants, anti-rust agents, and metal-working fluids with ±0.005% Brix accuracy.
Operation: The device requires a reference solution and a sample solution to be injected into respective ports. The measurement process is initiated by pressing the Start Switch, and results are displayed digitally to avoid user error. Data can be exported via RS-232C connection.
Compliance and Manufacturing: The DD-7 complies with HACCP, GMP, and GLP standards and is manufactured in Japan.

Digital Differential Refractometer-2

The DD-7 measures solutions of up to 2% Brix concentration at the extremely high-accuracy level of ±0.005% Brix. 0.005% (Note that the range of measurement gets narrower at concentrations higher than 10% Brix.) When a reference solution of 8.000% Brix is used, for example, the DD-7 can measure concentrations in the range of 8% to 10% Brix at resolution of 0.001% Brix and precision of measurement of ±0.005% Brix. Note: High viscosity samples may not be suitable for measurement. • Measurement is very simple. Inject a reference solution and a sample solution to respective injection ports, and press...
