Premisut POLYPROPYLENE MESH (Polypropylene mesh) is a sterile synthetic monofilament non-absorbable surgical mesh prepared from knitted filaments of extruded Polypropylene. The chemical composition of Polypropylene mesh is 100 % of Polypropylene. The polypropylene polymer used is identical to the material used in Premisut Polypropylene Suture. Premisut POLYPROPYLENE MESH is knitted by a process which interlinks each fiber junction and provides for elasticity in both directions. This construction permits the mesh to be cut into any desired shape or size without unravelling. The fiber junction are not subject to the same work-fatigue exhibited by more rigid metallic meshes. This bi-directional elastic properly allows adaptation to various stresses encountered in the body.
