Technical Specifications
The Aurolab Dfine is a hydrophobic foldable preloaded acrylic multifocal intraocular lens (IOL) with an aspheric surface. It features a 6.0mm optic diameter and a 12.5mm overall length. The optic design is apodized diffractive aspheric, and it includes force enduring haptics with a 360° truedge and 3° angulation. The lens is delivered using a disposable preloaded injector and cartridge with a 2.8mm incision. The diopter range is from +10D to +25D, with increments of 1D and 0.5D.

Design Characteristics
The lens is made from hydrophobic acrylic material with a glass transition temperature of 8°C. It has a 10% UV cut-off at 385nm and a light transmittance of more than 90%. The refractive index is 1.47.

The Aurolab Dfine is designed for cataract patients with presbyopia seeking spectacle-free vision. It combines apodized and non-apodized diffractive zones for a wider range of vision and includes 11 diffractive zones for optimal near and distance vision. The lens features negative aberration optics for better contrast sensitivity and force-enduring haptics for greater stability and centration. The preloaded disposable delivery system ensures ease of use.

Clinical Results
Clinical trials involving 138 patients showed that 92.75% achieved uncorrected bilateral distance visual acuity (UCBDVA) of 6/6p or better, and 98.55% achieved uncorrected bilateral near visual acuity (UCBNVA) of N6. Complete spectacle independence was achieved in 93% of cases.

Truedge Technology
The lens features a 360° square edge on the posterior side, which exerts more pressure on the posterior capsule to prevent cell migration behind the optic. The projected posterior edge at the optic-haptic junction and a 3° vault of the haptic ensure 360° capsular contact, further preventing epithelial cell migration.
