Affected Products

New configurations include updated user manuals, complete sets of power cables for various regions, and adapter sets for flexible sealing performance. Packaging has been redesigned for safer shipment.

Reason for Change
The re-launch is part of a strategy to better fulfill customer demands and align with market needs by expanding the Xcap portfolio.

Date of Change
All changes are effective from June 15th, 2020. Support for existing customers will continue without interruption.

Description and Reason for Change Dear Customer, Dear Collaborator, We are pleased to inform you that Brooks Life Sciences is re-launching FluidX Xcap - a semi-automatic system for TPE septum cap sealing of sample tubes in 96-well SBS format. Xcap provides secure storage tube sealing to preserve sample integrity and audit trails in biobanks, compound libraries and other high-throughput storage applications. FluidX Xcap has been on the market for quite some time and continues to be the ideal choice when selecting a TPE septum cap sealer. However, to better fulfill the demands of our target customers and, to stay in line with market expectations and needs, Brooks Life Sciences has decided to invest in the expansion of the Xcap portfolio to better meet the needs of each Sample Management entity. Therefore, BLS has decided to: • simplify the quoting and ordering process; • release new product configurations - two versions of the device have been developed to better address customers across the globe with different electrical requirements and physical connections: - 115V (in general: North and Central Americas, Western Japan) - 230V (in general: the rest of the world, with some exceptions) • add an adapter set for broad compatibility These changes will decrease lead times. This document describes and summarizes all modifications that will impact this product model. All modifications summarized in this NOC will be effective as of June 15th 2020. 2.
