The CPAP is adjustable from 1 to 10 cm H2O with gas flow from 1 to 12 liters per minute with accuracy of +/- 1 cm of H2O. The B&B Bubbler is intended to provide CPAP to spontaneously breathing neonates and infants who require breathing support due to conditions associated with prematurity or other conditions where CPAP is prescribed by a physician. The patent-pending B&B Bubbler’s design allows airway pressure to be set without the cumbersome and time-consuming tasks normally associated with bubble CPAP devices. The B&B Bubbler is installed at the end of the expiratory limb in a continuous gas flow system to provide positive pressure within the breathing circuit. A 360 degree rotating inlet connector accepts 15 mm OD and 22 mm ID expiratory circuit connectors. The device features a dual-chambered wall that allows the fluid level to be observed without disrupting therapy. The B&B Bubbler also has an internal-drainable overflow chamber that limits fluid level within the optimal range. A fill port is provided for adding fluid without disengaging the circuit. The B&B Bubbler has an integrated ISO compliant equipment mount. This feature makes it convenient to secure the device onto a standard equipment pole with a single or custom dual pole clamp. The B&B Bubbler can be used in all neonatal critical care units, delivery rooms and special procedure units.
