The B-SAFE Series Class II A2 Biological Safety Cabinet features robust construction with an external powder-coated galvanized steel and internal stainless steel AISI 304. Work trays are available in separate or optional single pieces for easy cleaning. The motorized front window includes a safety switch and adjustable height, preset to 18 mm as per EN 12469 standards.
The cabinet is equipped with two factory-installed UV lamps, each with a lifespan of approximately 3,000 hours. An airflow sensor constantly measures airflow velocities to ensure safety and alerts users if airflow is insufficient.
The cabinet features front and side windows made of 6 mm laminated tempered glass for natural light. It includes HEPA H14 filters with 99.995% efficiency, creating an ISO CLASS 2 air clean work zone, with optional ULPA U15 filters available.
A touch screen display shows safety information and is angled for easy viewing. The cabinet starts in automatic mode with a downflow of 0.45 m/sec. LED lighting is brighter and more energy-efficient than fluorescent lights.
The cabinet complies with DIN EN 12469, ISO 14644, EN 1822, and EN 61010-1 standards, ensuring biological safety, air quality, filtration, and electrical safety.
An RS232 serial interface port sends operational information to a Building Management System (BMS). Two factory-installed shuko outlets with protective covers are included.
The system pulls air from the ambient room through the front grill, creating an inflow without entering the work surface. The air is recirculated and filtered to maintain an ISO Class 2 working environment.
The display includes indicators for humidity, temperature, downflow, exhaust flow, UV lifetime, and HEPA filter penetration rate. It also shows door settings, time, and date.
The cabinet offers three working modes (P1, P2, P3) with varying downflow speeds and an ECO mode for energy efficiency.
Safety features include HEPA H14 filters, visual and acoustic alarms, automatic UV lamp shutoff when the front sash is opened, and constant airflow velocity measurement.
The cabinet is designed for easy cleaning with frameless front glass, smooth surfaces, and a bottom sink with round corners made of SS AISI 304.
Each cabinet undergoes individual testing and validation according to EN 12469 standards, including downflow velocity, inflow velocity, airflow smoke patterns, HEPA filter leak, vibration, noise level, and lighting intensity tests.

The cabinet air filtration system Air from the ambient room pulled through the front grill to create inflow, without entering the work surface. This inflow air together with part of the downflow air creates a fine air curtain. All the combined air stream is travelling through the back-air column and up to the blower. 30 % of the common air is exhausted through the HEPA H14 filter back to the ambient room or out through an exhaust connection.
