It highlights the range of sizes, materials, and configurations available to meet diverse orthotic needs.
Specifications: Knee joints are offered in four sizes: Adult, Youth, Child, and Infant. Materials include 410 Hardened Stainless Steel, 304-2B Stainless Steel, Carbon Fiber, and 2024 T4 Aluminum. Specific models like MX-003-HD, 1003, 1004, and others have unique features such as heavy-duty lever release systems, posterior offset designs, and adjustable extension angles.
Procedures: Knee joints are shipped fully assembled to minimize fabrication time. Uprights are riveted for strength, with contouring limits advised to maintain integrity, especially for aluminum and stainless steel.
Ordering Instructions: The process involves selecting model number, joint size, upright thickness, material type, and contour options. A specific numbering system is used for ordering, detailing codes for thickness and material.
Recommendations: Orthotists should carefully select joint sizes and maintain medial and lateral locks for safety. Lever fitting instructions should be followed as per the Technical Catalog.
Key Data from Tables: Tables provide detailed size specifications, including midsection and upright lengths, and list available materials with corresponding thicknesses in inches and millimeters.
Warnings: The document warns against removing medial or lateral locks and specifies contouring limits to prevent material micro-fractures.
Model Descriptions: Various models like 1010, 1011, 1012, and others are described, each with specific functionalities such as adjustable extension/flexion stops, automatic trigger locks, and posterior offset designs. Materials include aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium.
