Test Procedure
  1. Dispense 300µL of extraction buffer into the extraction tube.
  2. Collect the sample using the standard method.
  3. Place the swab in the extraction tube and rotate it at least 10 times.
  4. Leave the swab in the tube for 1 minute, then squeeze to extract liquid.
  5. Fit the dropper tip on the tube and add 100µL of the sample to the test device.
  6. Wait for 20 minutes and read the results.

Result Interpretation
  • Positive: A pink control band (C) and a test band (T1 for Influenza A, T2 for Influenza B) appear.
  • Negative: Only a pink band at the control region (C) appears.
  • Invalid: No band appears at the control region; repeat the test.

Performance
The test kit's performance was evaluated against cell culture methods in a study with 626 nasopharyngeal swab specimens. The Influenza A assay showed a sensitivity of 80.3% and specificity of 96.6%. The Influenza B assay demonstrated a sensitivity of 58.3% and specificity of 98.0%. These results indicate acceptable clinical sensitivity and specificity.

Test Procedure ① Dispense 300uL (about 13 drops) extraction buffer from the extraction buffer bottle to the extraction tube. ② Collect the sample according to the standard operation method. ③ Place the patient swab sample into the extraction tube (contains 300uL extraction buffer). The performance of the Influenza A/B Assay was compared to cell culture in a prospective study. 626 fresh specimens (nasopharyngeal swab) prospectively collected were tested.
