Test Procedure ① Dispense 300uL (about 13 drops) extraction buffer from the extraction buffer bottle to the extraction tube. ② Collect the sample according to the standard operation method. ③ Place the patient swab sample into the extraction tube (contains 300uL extraction buffer). Vigorously rotate and twist the swab against the side of the tube at least 10 times. ④ Leave the swab in the extraction tube for 1 minute. ⑤ Squeeze the sides of the tube to obtain as much liquid as possible. The performance of the Influenza A/B Assay was compared to cell culture in a prospective study. 626 fresh specimens (nasopharyngeal swab) prospectively collected were tested.
