Digital Amplifier AM6500 Product Details and Specifications Bertec’s amplifiers are designed for use with our line of force plates and force transducers. Their solid construction will handle the rigors of any application as our products are used internationally in research, clinical, and industrial facilities. The AM6500 signal converter has a digital input and a digital output to offer easy setup and use. Design The AM6500 amplifier’s small profile and easy use make it the perfect choice for those requiring quick, accurate data at an economical price. This external converter transforms the force plate’s digital output to USB format, which can be directly fed to any computer using a standard USB cable. The amplifier’s output is a standard B-type USB connector; whereas, the analog input is a female 9-pin D-Sub connector. Next to the USB output are two LED lights. The bottom light is on when the unit is powered, and the top light is on if the unit is connected to the computer’s USB port. Using the AM6500 eliminates the use of A/D converter cards during force transducer data acquisition.
