Instrumented Treadmills

Product catalog summary
Overview: Bertec Corporation offers a line of Instrumented Treadmills designed to optimize gait laboratory space and overcome limitations of traditional gait walkways. These treadmills feature advanced load measurement and control capabilities.
Unique Features:
  • Independent 6-component load measurement for each belt, capturing forces and moments (Fx, Fy, Fz, Mx, My, Mz).
  • Independent control of each belt in both directions.
  • 100% digital encoding to prevent signal interference.
  • Standard one-year warranty with optional maintenance packages.
Design: The treadmills feature a dual belt system with independent control and modular incline options for analyzing uphill and downhill movements. The control electronics are equipped with medically isolated transformers. A smaller version, Mini-FIT, is available for animal studies, with a Quad-FIT option for quadrupedal applications.
Optional Equipment:
  • Incline capability for testing movements up to 15 degrees.
  • Overhead structure and harness for patient safety and comfort.
Standard Treadmill Configurations:
  • Fully Instrumented Treadmill (FIT): Two independent force-measuring belts, each approximately 1.75 m long and 0.5 m wide.
  • Mini-FIT for Animal Application: Two belts, each approximately 1 m long and 0.3 m wide, with a 0.15 m wide version available.
  • Quad-FIT for Quadrupedal Applications: Four belts, each approximately 1 m long and 0.3 m wide, with separate speed control for left and right sides.
Technical Specifications:
  • Max Load Range: Fx, Fy up to 2,500 N (550 lb), Fz up to 5,000 N (1,100 lb).
  • Speed Range: 0-24 km/h (0-15 mi/h).
  • Acceleration: 0-25 m/s² (0-82 ft/s²).

Instrumented Treadmills-1

Instrumented Treadmills Bertec’s line of Instrumented Treadmills is designed to reduce gait laboratory space requirements and eliminate the limitations inherent in a traditional gait walkway. Unique Features Unique design features result in  superior dynamic characteristics of the treadmill. The dual belt treadmill has two belts which can be controlled independently, each half having its own 6-modular incline feature that can be added to the system for uphill and downhill analysis of movements. The control electronics incorporate medically isolated transformers. >> Independent 6-component load measurement from each belt (Fx, Fy, Fz, Mx, My, Mx). A smaller version of FIT is available for animal studies (Mini-FIT). The Mini-FIT can be configured to have four belts which independently measure forces for quadrupedal animal studies (Quad-FIT). >> One year standard warranty with optional maintenance packages. >> Independent control of individual belts in both directions. >> No signal interference from outside sources with 100% digital encoding. Bertec treadmills are mounted on mounting plates, which are glued to the floor. Such a configuration along with total isolation of each half from the other ensures stable operation of the treadmill.
