All hip joint heads delivered by Messrs. BEZNOSKA Ltd. are round and provided with a self-chucking taper 12/14 (euro-taper) of variable depth that determines the final length of the endoprosthesis neck. ■ Instrumentation Set During the surgery, the surgeon has to perform a preliminary trial articulation (on a rasp) and a final trial articulation of the implant (on a femoral stem). For these trial fittings, the set of instruments contains two plastic trial heads in two options each - one set of heads for the rasp and one set for the definitive stem. Hemiarthroplasty Head The head is made of corrosion-proof (stainless) steel as per ISO 5832-1, successfully time-tested by leading global manufacturers. The head surface is polished to mirror-like gloss. Biarticular Head The head cover and the inner metal head are made of corrosion-proof steel as per ISO 5832-1 and as per ISO 5832-9, successfully time-tested by leading global manufacturers. The external surfaces of both elements are polished, especially the inner metal head that is polished to mirror-like gloss. The head liner is made of UHMWPE as per ISO 5834-2.

Ceramic Head - BIOLOX®delta BIOLOX®delta is extremely pure ceramic material on the basis of aluminum oxide as per ISO 6474.The product is bioinert, biocompatible, abrasion-resistant, and non-allergenic.
