Application Tips: Ensure the patient's skin is completely dry before applying CathGrip®. Moisture from cleansing wipes or Chlorhexidine can reduce wear time. The first application may last shorter due to the hydrocolloid material absorbing moisture. CathGrip can be worn for up to 7 days. It is a single-use product and should be disposed of after removal to avoid malfunction or infection.
Contraindications:
  • Absolute: Do not use if there is a demonstrated sensitivity to hydrocolloid.
  • Relative: Wait for healing if there is an unhealed wound, active rash, or inflammation at the application site.
Use only on intact skin. Discontinue use and consult a healthcare practitioner if redness or irritation occurs. Report any serious incidents to the manufacturer and competent authority.
Instructions for Use: Follow the 4 P’s: Prep, Place, Press, Pinch.
  • Preparation: Clean the application site with an alcohol wipe or non-moisturizing soap and allow it to dry. Use BioPlus+™ Barrier Wipe and let it dry for 15+ seconds.
  • Application: Remove release papers from the hydrocolloid oval, place it on the skin, position the tube, and secure with a second oval. Pinch and press for 15 seconds.
  • Removal: Replace CathGrip when adhesive turns white or becomes loose. Use FreeDerm® adhesive remover or warm water for removal.

For Best Results Follow the 4 P’s • Prep • Place • Press • Pinch Contents: • 1 Alcohol Wipe* • 1 BioPlus+™ Barrier Wipe • 2 Hydrocolloid Universal Securement Device Clean entire application site with an alcohol wipe and/ or nonmoisturizing soap. Allow to dry. 2 Peel & Place Remove the release papers from the bottom of one hydrocolloid oval. Place oval on the skin.
