Application Tips: Ensure the patient's skin is completely dry before applying CathGrip®. Moisture from cleansing wipes or Chlorhexidine can reduce wear time. The first application may last shorter due to the hydrocolloid material absorbing moisture. CathGrip can be worn for up to 7 days. Contraindications:
  • Absolute: Sensitivity to hydrocolloid.
  • Relative: Unhealed wounds, active rash, or inflammation at the application site. Use only on intact skin.
If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a healthcare practitioner. Report any serious incidents to the manufacturer.
Instructions for Use: Follow the 4 P’s: Prep, Place, Peel, Pull.
  • Preparation: Clean the application site with an alcohol wipe or non-moisturizing soap and allow it to dry. Leave a one-inch space around the device when using cleansing products.
  • Placement: Secure the straps and ensure the hydrocolloid strap is lifted to reveal the tube slot. Place the hydrocolloid oval on the skin and slide until the tube rests at the slot's end.
  • Removal: Replace CathGrip when the adhesive turns white or becomes loose. Use FreeDerm™ adhesive remover or warm water for removal.
Product Details: Manufactured by BioDerm, Inc., the product is not made with natural rubber latex and should be stored between 10ºC (50ºF) and 30ºC (85ºF).
