ThyLA DUAL

Product catalog summary
Overview: The ThyLA DUAL system is a laser thermal ablation device designed for the treatment of thyroid nodules. It combines multiple wavelengths (980 nm/1470 nm and 1064 nm/1470 nm) to achieve effective intra- and postoperative results. The system is minimally invasive, function-preserving, and suitable for outpatient treatment.
Advantages:
  • Local anesthesia suffices for the procedure.
  • Reduces nodule volume by approximately 50% within three months.
  • Short treatment duration with preservation of healthy thyroid tissue.
  • Good cosmetic outcomes and quick recovery, allowing patients to resume daily activities promptly.
  • Repeatable treatment suitable for risk patients.
Indications:
  • Symptomatic benign nodular formations and thyroid cysts.
  • Rapidly developing benign nodules or cysts.
  • Visually disturbing nodules and autonomous adenomas when radioiodine therapy is not preferred.
  • Patients unfit for surgery or anesthesia.
Technical Specifications:
  • Models: LEONARDO® Mini Dual, LEONARDO® DUAL 45.
  • Wavelengths: 980 nm ± 30 nm / 1470 nm ± 30 nm, 1064 nm ± 30 nm / 1470 nm ± 30 nm.
  • Power: Up to 30 W for 1064 nm and 15 W for 1470 nm.
  • Fiber diameter: ≥ 360 µm, with optional reduced Pmax for 220 µm.
  • Laser class: 4, with aiming beams at 635 nm and 532 nm.
  • Treatment modes include CW, Pulse Mode, ELVeS® Signal, and Derma Mode.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Class 4 laser product with safety measures to avoid direct or indirect radiation exposure.
  • Complies with EN 60825-1 and EN60601-2-22 standards.
Global Presence: biolitec® operates worldwide with offices in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, Russia, UAE, China, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Korea, Mexico, Brazil, and Latvia.
Applications: Besides thyroid nodules, biolitec® laser systems are used for venous diseases, hemorrhoids, ENT diseases, BPH, uterine tumors, disc herniation, and lung metastases.

ThyLA DUAL-4

A gentle, organ-preserving method for the treatment of benign thyroid nodules Laser thermal ablation is a minimally invasive procedure during which the tissue is dissicated by laser energy. During the laser thermal ablation, similar to a biopsy with ultrasound monitoring, the special ThyLA fiber is introduced into the thyroid nodule to coagulate the nodular tissue through selective radiation. When the size or shape of the lesion to be treated requires, the therapy takes place with the so-called “multiple overlapping shot technique” (moving shot technique). In this instance, the ThyLA fiber is...
