RNase Inhibitor life science RNase Inhibitor Description: Murine RNase Inhibitor is a recombinant protein with a broad spectrum of RNase inhibitory properties, specifically for RNases A, B, and C. It does not inhibit RNase T1, S1 nuclease, RNase H or RNase from Aspergillus. It also does not inhibit the polymerase activity of Reverse Transcriptase, Taq DNA Polymerase or RNA polymerases like SP6, T7 or T3. RNase Inhibitor has a size of 50 kD and shows a significantly improved stability. The protein is free of proteases, exonucleases and nickases and has an activity of 40 - 50 U/^l. Application: It is suitable for all applications where the quality of RNA should not be affected by RNases like RNA isolation and purification, Reverse Transcription and cDNA synthesis or In-vitro transcription/ translation. Unit definition: One unit is defined as the amount of Murine RNase Inhibitor required to inhibit the activity of 5 ng of RNase A by 50%. Activity is measured by the inhibition of hydrolysis of cytidine 2', 3'-cyclic monophosphate by RNase A To avoid denaturation, do not heat above 50 °C. The recommended concentration of RNase Inhibitor per reaction is 1 U/^l. During reaction set up, please add RNase Inhibitor before other components that could be a possible source of RNase contamination (e.g. enzymes).
