Performance
The test has been clinically studied and compared to the ELISA method, showing high specificity and sensitivity across capillary blood, venous blood, and serum samples. Specificity ranges from 90% to 100%, while sensitivity ranges from 79% to 93% depending on the sample type.

Test Procedure

Prick the fingertip using a sterile lancet.
Collect the drop of blood using the provided pipette.
Transfer the blood sample into the 'S' well of the cassette.
Read the results at 10 minutes, either visually or using the BIOSYNEX® Reader.

Results Interpretation

Negative result: Indicates absence of protection in an unvaccinated subject or a subject whose vaccination is not up to date.
Positive result: Indicates a level of anti-tetanus antibodies in the sample greater than 0.1 UI/mL.
