Product catalog summary
General Description:
The D30/5/4Q-M2 evaluation board is designed for use with the D30/x/xQx-E2 series drivers, facilitating the interface between the driver and customer electronics, power supplies, and measuring equipment. It is suitable for limited volume production and system testing before the customer's electronics are ready. The board is primarily intended for controlling Boreasa blowers.

Features:
  • Supports one BLDC motor up to 30 V and 10 A.
  • Includes speed and current limiting modes.
  • Robust 30 VDC power supply interface with reverse polarity protection.

Pin Assignment:
The board includes various pins for ground, supply voltage, motor windings, hall sensors, and control inputs. Key pins include:
  • Pin 2: +VCC (12 to 30 VDC)
  • Pin 15: FG (Motor speed monitor output)
  • Pin 17: EN (Enable input)
  • Pin 21: VSP (Speed control input)

DIP Switch Settings:
The DIP switches configure different operational modes and current limits:
  • DIP1-DIP4: Interface with E2 driver digital inputs.
  • DIP5-DIP7: Set current limits ranging from 0.5 A to 10.0 A for D30/5/xQx-E2 and 0.75 A to 15.0 A for D30/7.5/xQx-E2.
  • DIP8: Control mode selection between internal and external potentiometer.

LED Signals:
  • D1 ON: Ready
  • D1 OFF: Error

Recommended Initial Settings for Boreasa Blowers:
  • Basic connections for 1Q and 4Q drivers include connecting the brake resistor for 4Q drivers.
  • Ensure power supply voltage is below 30 VDC to prevent TVS breakover.
