Product catalog summary
Introduction
Pepperdine University renovated its men's and women's water sports locker rooms, as well as the general use locker room, replacing old metal lockers with new solid plastic lockers to enhance durability and aesthetics.
Challenge
The existing metal lockers were outdated and unable to withstand the high usage and harsh conditions of the water sports areas. The goal was to update the locker rooms with durable, attractive materials that would appeal to prospective students and withstand wet and humid conditions.
Solution
The university collaborated with Bradley and Rusco to install Lenox® Lockers made from high-density polyethylene plastic. These lockers are rust-resistant, moisture-proof, and durable, with a nearly zero absorption rate, making them ideal for the environment. The men's locker room featured a custom design with orange metal lockers topped with blue plastic panels to match school colors.
Benefits
The new lockers are easy to maintain, with resistance to impact, dents, and graffiti. They are also environmentally friendly, made from 30% pre-consumer recycled content. The installation was straightforward, and the lockers come with a 20-year warranty. Feedback has been positive, confirming the success of the renovation.
Conclusion
The renovation not only improved the functionality and appearance of the locker rooms but also aligned with the university's sustainability goals. The use of Lenox Lockers has proven to be a durable and aesthetically pleasing solution.

Heetland’s goals were to update the locker rooms, add some design “pizzazz,” and use quality products that could withstand the harsh wet and humid conditions of these high-traffic locker areas. Attracting students was another goal because the campus hosts prospective students during water polo matches, swim meets, and public swimming. “From a recruitment perspective, it’s important that our locker rooms are furnished with quality materials and products. They also need to be clean and wellmaintained and stand
