Technical Specifications
The Brainlab Node is based on the HP ProLiant DL360p Gen 8 server. Tablet Computer Minimum Requirements
Tablets should have a display resolution of 1024x768 and a color depth of 24-bit. iPads must run iOS 7.0 or higher with an HTML5 compatible browser.
3rd Party Server Hardware and Virtual Machines
The Brainlab Origin Server software can be installed on third-party hardware if it meets specific requirements, including dual Intel Xeon E5-2667 CPUs, 16GB RAM, and RAID5 configuration. The operating system must be Windows Server 2008 Standard SP2 64-bit with .NET Framework 4.5.
Operating System and Virtual Machine Requirements
Only Brainlab applications are allowed on the server. Virtual machines must meet hardware requirements for up to 5 concurrent sessions, but advanced 3D graphics options are not supported. Static MAC and IP addresses are required.
Configuration Specs
The server must have specific roles and features installed, including File Services, Network Policy and Access Services, Terminal Services, and Web Server (IIS). Additional features include .NET Framework 3.5, BITS Server Extensions, and Windows PowerShell.

Advanced 3D graphics options are not supported for virtual machines as there is no support for GPU virtualization; therefore all data related to graphics do not apply to the virtualized environment. The standard 3D graphics quality will not be affected but a higher CPU usage must be calculated due to the software rendering processes.
