CarboFix Fibula Plates - Overview
CarboFix Fibula Plates are designed to improve fracture and tissue imaging both intra-operatively and post-operatively. They feature polyaxial locking screws and are engineered to prevent cold welding. The plates offer clear visibility through the malleoli, enhancing surgical precision.

Material and Design
The plates are made from continuous carbon fibers reinforced polymer (CFR-PEEK), providing superior bending strength and an improved modulus of elasticity compared to traditional materials like titanium (Ti-6AI-4V) and stainless steel (316L). The plate thickness is 2.3mm, with head locking and non-locking screws of Ø2.7mm and shaft locking and non-locking screws of Ø3.5mm.

Specifications
The distal fibula plates are available in configurations with 4, 6, 9, and 11 holes, while the 1/3 tubular plates come with 5, 6, 7, 9, and 11 holes. The polyaxial locking screws allow for up to 10° screw trajectory variation, providing flexibility in surgical applications.
