DAFO Turbo Softy

DAFO Turbo Softy

Product catalog summary
Overview: The DAFO Turbo Softy is a specialized brace designed for individuals with specific foot and ankle conditions. It features a soft foam liner for comfort and a rigid outer shell for support, making it suitable for less correctable feet and larger patients.
Specifications: The brace includes instep, forefoot, and anterior straps, along with a soft foam inner liner. It provides strong dorsiflexion resistance and a plantarflexion stop, offering excellent medial-lateral control.
Functionality: The DAFO Turbo Softy is ideal for weight-bearing postures that require strong crouch control and complete ankle block. It is designed to support patients who lack consistent plantarflexion strength and tend to collapse into a crouched, pronated stance.
Recommendations: This brace is recommended for patients who:
  • Have high tone but lack plantarflexion strength.
  • Do not exhibit dorsiflexion range in their corrected stance.
  • Are accustomed to a crouched stance that can be improved by knee extension.
  • Have feet that are difficult to correct or have sensitive bony prominences.
Key Concept: The brace combines strong dorsiflexion resistance with full wrap-around foot control, making it effective for specific patient needs.
