Enteroviral (EV) meningitis is prevalent among young children and often presents similarly to bacterial meningitis, making differentiation challenging. Annually, Europe sees an estimated 28,000 to 43,000 cases of EV meningitis, which is typically self-limiting and does not require antibiotics. However, due to diagnostic challenges, patients are often treated empirically, leading to unnecessary hospital costs.

The Solution
