Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides technical specifications and details for the ZEFIRO zero LC-MS Nitrogen Generators, which are part of the ZEFIRO series by CINEL Strumenti Scientifici s.r.l. These generators utilize membrane technology to produce nitrogen for laboratory applications, specifically for LC/MS.
Specifications:
  • Flow Rate: Available in 16, 22, 40, 60, 80, and 120 L/min.
  • Purity: 98.5% at 7 bar.
  • Air Inlet Flow Required: 8 bar.
  • Dew Point: -40°C.
  • Maintenance: Only requires changing the filter element once per year.
  • Noise: Absent, as there are no moving mechanical parts.
  • Power: Not specified, but the generator does not include an internal compressor.
  • Connections: ¼ G with a quick connection for a 10 mm pipe.
  • Weight: 40 kg.
  • Dimensions: 40x40x95H cm.
  • Nitrogen Flow Quality: Class 1 ISO 8573-1:2010, with oil content <0.003 mg/m3.
Technical Features: The nitrogen generator operates by forcing compressed air through a hollow fiber membrane, selectively permeating components like oxygen, CO2, and water vapor, while retaining nitrogen. This results in high-purity nitrogen output.
Installation Requirements: The generator must be connected to an existing clean and dry compressed air network.
Additional Products: The document also mentions other gas generators available from the company, including hydrogen, oxygen, and zero air generators.

ZEFIRO series-2

Compressed air is forced through a hollow fibers membrane, with selective permeation of the different components, nitrogen, oxygen, CO2, water vapor and traces of rare gases (Ar, Co), depending on the rate of diffusion. The rate of diffusion of nitrogen through the membrane is slower than the other components, which thus flow outside of the fiber membrane, leaving nitrogen inside only.
