Construction
The upper cabinet module is made from welded 16-gauge cold-rolled steel, painted with baked white enamel. It houses the blower, motor, HEPA or ULPA filter, fluorescent lights, and electrical components. The support frame is constructed from heavy-duty steel tubing, allowing for easy assembly and shipment.

Filters
Standard HEPA filters are 99.99% efficient on particles 0.3 microns and larger, with optional ULPA filters available for higher efficiency. The negative pressure plenum system ensures that any gasket seal leaks are contained and redirected back to the HEPA filter.

Airflow and Light Level
The airflow velocity is factory set to Federal Standard 209E (90 ±20 FPM). The units provide approximately 90 foot-candle illumination 6 inches above a 36-inch work surface. T12 lamps are standard, with T8 lamps available upon request.

Sound and Electrical Specifications
The units operate quietly at approximately 65dbA. They meet NEC electrical codes with a standard 120V, single-phase, 3-wire system. UL labeling is optional and must be requested.

Blower/Motor Assembly
The system uses a PSC direct drive motor with a dynamically balanced blower wheel, providing excellent vibration control. The assembly is vibration isolated to ensure long HEPA filter life.

Certification and Service Access
Each unit is tested to meet Federal Standard 209E class 100 requirements. The design allows easy access for servicing from the front, top, or rear.

Selected units are available with optional UL labeling, which must be specifically requested and will be quoted as a line item. Consult the factory for further details on UL listed cabinets.
