Proof of Principle
Experiments demonstrated the efficacy of the Clean Quick Viral DNA/RNA in extracting both viral DNA and RNA. A dilution series of four viruses was spiked into negative swab samples, and extractions were performed using the Clean Quick Viral DNA/RNA and a competitor's kit. The results showed comparable qPCR outcomes.

Workflow
The extraction process involves adding the swab sample in viral transport medium to the reagent, where magnetic particles bind the DNA and RNA. A magnetic separation device isolates the complex, followed by three ethanol washes to remove contaminants. Purified DNA/RNA is then eluted using nuclease-free water or a low ionic strength buffer.
