Overview
The Cleaver Scientific IEF system is designed for first-dimension isoelectric focusing (IEF) using IPG strips and gels. It is optimized for quick, easy, and reproducible results, making it suitable for both experienced and occasional users.

Specifications
- System Components: Includes rehydration and focusing trays, adjustable electrodes, and a ceramic cooling plate.
- Capacity: Focusing tray accommodates up to twelve IPG strips, with adjustable electrodes for strips 7-24cm in length.
- Cooling: Features a large ceramic cooling plate (26x26cm) for effective heat dissipation. An optional chiller is recommended for optimal temperature control.

Rehydration
The rehydration tray allows for easy transfer of IPG strips to the focusing tray, minimizing buffer removal time and enabling continuous use of the focusing tray.

Power Supply
The Consort EV2320 power supply (3000V, 150mA, 150W) is available for achieving desired volt-hours quickly.

Typical Running Conditions
- 7cm IPG Strip: Voltage steps from 150V to 3000V over several hours, with a total volt-hour of 7500.
- 18cm IPG Strip: Voltage steps from 300V to 3000V, with a total volt-hour of 36000.
