Cable Ties

Cable Ties

Product catalog summary
Overview: This document provides detailed specifications and options for nylon and polypropylene cable ties, including their features, sizes, tensile strengths, and additional tools for securing and cutting ties.
Specifications:
  • Material: Nylon cable ties are made from injection-molded plastic, resistant to corrosion and stretching. They maintain tension in various environments and withstand temperatures up to 185°F (85°C), with a melting point of 495°F (257°C). Black ties are UV and weather-resistant from –40 to 221°F (–40 to 105°C).
  • Standards: UL-component recognized, self-extinguishing as per UL 94 Flam. class: V-2, and meet military specification MS3367.
Product Variants:
  • Miniature (18-lb tensile strength): Available in multiple colors and lengths, suitable for small bundle diameters.
  • Intermediate (40-lb tensile strength): Available in various colors and lengths, suitable for medium bundle diameters.
  • Standard (50-lb tensile strength): Available in white and black, suitable for larger bundle diameters.
  • Heavy Duty (120-lb tensile strength): Available in white, suitable for heavy-duty applications.
  • Extra Heavy Duty (175-lb tensile strength): Available in white, suitable for very heavy-duty applications.
Autoclavable Cable Ties:
  • Made from polypropylene, these ties resist chemicals and UV exposure, available in natural and black colors.
Tensioning Tools:
  • Low-Cost Tensioning Tool: Lightweight, pocket-sized, suitable for most cable ties except specific heavy-duty models.
  • Polycarbonate Tensioning Tool: Features dial-adjustable tension settings for precise application.
  • Aluminum Tensioning Tool: Offers adjustable tension with a locking knob for repeatable results, automatically cuts ties at preset tension.
Plastic-Cutting Diagonal Pliers:
  • Designed for easy and accurate cutting of plastic materials, featuring oval-shaped jaws for close trimming.

Cable Ties Need help selecting? A Free Tech Support! Solid-Design Cable Ties, Nylon Won’t corrode or stretch—made from injection-molded plastic - Simply bend tip and pull through locking mechanism to secure - Won't lose tension—even in vibrating, oily, or wet environments - Withstand temperatures to 185°F (85°C), with melting point of 495°F(257°C) Black ties are UV and weather resistant from -40 to 221 °F (-40 to 105°C). UL-component recognized and self-extinguishing as per UL 94 Flam, class: V-2. Meet military specification MS3367. Tensioning Tools A. Low-Cost Tensioning Tool is lightweight, pocket-sized tool constructed of high-impact engineering resin. Just squeeze handle until tie reaches desired tension, then twist tool to cut tie. Use with all cable ties except 06830-36 and -91. B. Polycarbonate Tensioning Tool features dial-adjustable tension setting. Simply squeeze the handle to pull tie to a preset tension and cut. C. Aluminum Tensioning Tool adjusts tension from light to very tight using a knob at base of this tool; tension knob features a lock to ensure repeatable tension, tie after tie. No twisting needed—tool cuts tie automatically when preset tension is reached. Shock-resistant tool absorbs all impact. ^Ties 06830-51 and -55 have a textured, write-on identification tab. Autoclavable Solid-Design Cable Ties, pp Keep items bundled during autoclaving Polypropylene (PP) cable ties resist a number of chemicals and are UV-resistant. Sold in packs of 1000. Plastic-Cutting Diagonal Pliers ■ Easy cutting of plastic material ■ Oval-shaped jaws and flush ground cutting edges permit close trimming and accurate cutting in tight areas ■ Pliers measure 6" (15.2 cm) L; nose measures 27/32M (21 mm) L x 47/64M (19 mm) W
