The Con60 linear in-line actuator is designed with a maximum static load capacity of 18,100 N for aluminum and stainless steel. For stroke lengths greater than 400 mm, the maximum load is limited to 5,000 N. It operates within a temperature range of -20°C to +50°C and can be stored between -40°C to +70°C. The actuator is rated with a protection class of IP66 and features a cable specification of 1 m, 2 x 1.3 mm² (AWG16), with a bending radius of 6 times the cable diameter. The motor and actuator tube are made of powder-coated steel, while the piston rod is stainless steel, and the brackets are aluminum. The duty cycle is a maximum of 10% or 2 minutes of use followed by 18 minutes of rest. The actuator is available in black (RAL 9005).
The actuator is powered by a 24 VDC permanent magnet motor with a maximum current of 11.5 A and an absolute maximum voltage of 28 VDC. It offers various gear ratios (19, 43, 66, 81, 100) with corresponding maximum loads ranging from 1,900 N to 10,000 N and speeds from 26 mm/s to 5 mm/s at maximum load.
The actuator can be customized with stainless steel versions, brackets with clevis or spherical bearings, hall sensors for positioning, and a harsh environment (HE) version tested to IP68 and IP69 standards. Other options include low noise versions, spline and emergency lowering, various cable lengths, and certification according to IEC60601-1 standards. Custom stroke lengths and bracket designs are also available.
It is crucial to avoid clamping actuators on tubing and ensure both brackets are mounted in the same orientation. Brackets should rotate on axles, and radial forces should be avoided. The actuator should not be exposed to hammer strikes, and power supplies should include over-current protection to prevent damage.
The actuator's performance may be affected by temperature, load, and application conditions. For medical applications, specific environmental conditions must be met. The actuator's function is dependent on the controller settings, and users should consult Concens if using their own controller. The HE version's sealing might impact performance, and specifications are based on a 25°C ambient temperature.
