The adjusted leg positions remain absolutely stable so that, despite smaller fields of vision in combination with minimal invasive surgical techniques, stable surgical positioning is possible for the surgeon. Electrical height adjustment The RotexTable is also at the forefront of innovations in another way: It uses an integrated electrical height adjuster with safety monitoring device. This height adjuster can be operated both with hand and foot control. In particular, the foot switch version is highly practical and comfortable as the surgeon has both hands free and can still adjust the height by themselves. The safety monitoring device plays a special role: in a pre-adjusted condition, the leg cannot be lowered in order to prevent elongation damages of the nerves. During surgery, the leg is not pre-fixed in the longitudinal axis. This creates excellent prerequisites for the radiographic and navigational leg length control.
