Procedures and Recommendations
  • The ULT-2000 Series is designed to test the electrical safety of diagnostic ultrasound transducers independently of the ultrasound machine. It checks the integrity of the outer insulation barrier and capacitive leakage currents.
  • The Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) recommends checking the structural and electrical integrity of the transducer between each use using an ultrasound transducer leakage tester.

ULTRASOUND LEAKAGE TESTER-1

CS Medical and BC Group International have partnered to provide a safe and effective method in conducting the electrical leakage test within the disinfectant reservoir of the TD 100® Automated TEE Probe Disinfector. The ULT-2000 Series is specifically designed to test the electrical safety of all types of diagnostic ultrasound transducers, totally independent of the ultrasound machine on which they are typically used. The integrity of the outer insulation barrier of the transducer as well as the capacitive leakage currents that exist are tested. Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) recommends the structural and electrical integrity of the transducer be checked between each use, using an ultrasound transducer leakage tester. 2179 East Lyon Station Road • Creedmoor, NC 27522 Phone: (919) 255-9472 • Toll Free: (877) 255-9472 • Fax: (919) 528-3400 www.csmedicalllc.com
