Product catalog summary
Introduction to ICU Ventilators
A medical ventilator is a machine that assists or replaces spontaneous breathing in patients who are unable to breathe adequately on their own. These devices are primarily used in intensive care, home care, emergency medicine, and anesthesia.

When is an ICU Ventilator Needed?
ICU ventilators are used for patients experiencing severe cardiac events, head injuries, or trauma. They can fully take over breathing or assist patients who can breathe partially on their own. Ventilators also facilitate the removal of lung secretions and include a weaning process to prevent dependency.

Functionality of ICU Ventilators
Ventilators operate through settings tailored to individual patient needs, using endotracheal or tracheostomy tubes to manage breathing and secretion removal. The weaning process is crucial as the patient's condition improves.

Gasboard7500E Oxygen Sensor in ICU Ventilators
The Gasboard7500E is an ultrasonic oxygen sensor used to measure oxygen concentration in ICU ventilators. Wuhan Cubic, a leading manufacturer, has the capacity for mass production and collaborates with renowned oxygen concentrator suppliers.

Common FAQs
  • Testing Accuracy: The sensor uses RS232 digital output for communication, which is recommended over AD output for better stability and accuracy.
  • Electromagnetic Interference: The sensor has passed EMC tests and operates normally in electromagnetic environments without significant interference.

Features of the Ultrasonic Oxygen Sensor
  • No calibration needed
  • Long lifetime (>5 years)
  • Compact and easy to install
  • Low cost, high accuracy, and good stability
  • Measures gas concentration and flow
  • Customizable

Technical Details
The Gasboard7500E uses ultrasonic velocity differences to measure gas flow and oxygen purity, particularly in binary mixtures like oxygen and air. It is reliable, cost-effective, and highly accurate for integration into ICU ventilators.

Ultrasonic Oxygen Sensor for Medical Ventilation Application-1

Ultrasonic Oxygen Sensor for Medical Ventilation Application ICU Ventilator introduction A medical ventilator is a mechanical ventilator, a machine designed to move breathable air into and out of the lungs, to provide breathing for a patient who is physically unable to breathe, or breathing insufficiently. While modern ventilators are computerized machines, patients can be ventilated with a simple, hand-operated bag valve mask. Ventilators are chiefly used in intensive care medicine, home care, and emergency medicine (as standalone units) and in anesthesia (as a component of an anesthesia machine). When we need ICU ventilator ? Patients who experience cardiac events such as a Heart Attack (Myocardial Infarction) or Congestive Heart Failure may also be placed on a ventilator. A patient who experienced a severe head injury or trauma may be on a ventilator and/or placed in a medically induced coma to allow for healing. A ventilator takes over the breathing for the patient. But there are different settings. Patients may be totally dependent on the ventilator or may be able to do some breathing on their own. The ventilator has different settings based on the individual patient's needs. The use of the ventilator via an endotracheal tube (breathing tube in mouth) or tracheostomy (breathing tube in trachea through a stoma in the neck) also enables the health care practitioner to suction out secretions that impeded oxygen exchange in the lungs. To prevent the patient from becoming ventilator dependent there is a weaning process that is initiated as the patient's condition improves. How does the ICU ventilator works ? Ultrasonic Oxygen Sensor for Medical Ventilation Application-2

Gasboard7500E oxygen concentration measurement in ICU ventilator : Gasboard7500E ultrasonic gas flow and oxygen sensor use the ultrasonic velocity difference between upstream and downstream to detect the gas flow and also the oxygen purity for ICU ventilator. It is generally used for testing oxygen concentration of binary mixture such as A (oxygen) In A+B ( A and B have different density and different travel speed). A is oxygen, and B is usually air. It is reliable and low cost for integration into ICU ventilator with high accuracy for oxygen concentration measurement . Features of ultrasonic...
