Haemorrhoids radiofrequency ablation system

Product catalog summary
Introduction
The document provides an overview of the Haemorrhoids Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) System developed by Zhejiang Curaway Medical Technology Co., Ltd. It includes clinical research findings, specifications, intended use, procedural guidelines, and comparative treatment outcomes.

Intended Use
The RFA system is designed for cutting, coagulation, or ablation of tissue, specifically targeting haemorrhoids. It is recommended to read the user manual carefully before use.

Clinical Research
1. A study involving 102 patients with stage III haemorrhoids showed that 17.3% required a work absence certificate for 1-11 days post-treatment, with a mean of 3.3 days. The recurrence rate was 12.7% within two years.
2. A multicenter study in France with 129 patients demonstrated the efficacy and safety of RFA for grade II-III haemorrhoids, showing promising results as a minimally invasive technique.

Specifications
- Generator: DB 100
- Electrode: 15 gauge, 15cm length (HR 15-15), 14 gauge, 14cm length (HR 14-14)
- 4MHz radiofrequency technique

Procedure
The procedure involves inserting an anoscope, applying local anesthesia, inserting the probe into the haemorrhoid, and applying RF energy to coagulate the haemorrhoid. The area is then cooled with cold wet gauze.

Advantages
- Low postoperative pain and bleeding
- Short recovery periods
- Low recurrence rates
- Preservation of anal cushion functions
- Use of local anesthesia

Comparison of Treatment Outcomes
RF Ablation is noted for minor bleeding, pain, and complications, with shorter operation times and the fewest recurrences compared to other treatments like haemorrhoid removal, RPH, sclerotherapy, and PPH.

Additional Information
Curaway also provides disposable anoscopes for clinical use.

Specificaon Specificaon Electrode, 15 gauge, 15cm length Electrode, 14 gauge, 14cm length Clinical Research [1] In a 3-year period, 102 paents with stage III hemorrhoids underwent surgery. HAEMORRHOIDS RADIOFREQUENCY ABLATION SYSTEM 4MHz radiofrequency technique [2] 98 paents treatments of RFA with third-degree haemorrhoids in the outpaent, under local anaesthesia, oponally in combinaon with sedaon seng. Seventeen paents (17.3%) required a cerficate of inability to work for a period of 1–11 days (mean 3.3 days). The remaining paents connued with their daily acvies and reported that RFA did not result in restricons in their daily life. Comparison of recurrence rates from the HubBLe study show that haemorrhoids recurred in 49% of paents 1 year aer rubber band ligature and in 30% of paents 1 year aer haemorrhoids artery ligature. A total of 13 (12.7%) paents required repeat haemorrhoids therapy within 2 years , which we considered as recurrence. [3] Grade II–III haemorrhoids with 129 paents in 16 French centers. This is the largest prospecve mulcentre study on RFA for haemorrhoidal disease involving 129 paents with 1 year follow-up. In paents with grade II–III haemorrhoids without external disease, and aer failure of medico-instrumental therapy, this approach provides an excellent efficacy and safety profile that meets the expectaons of a minimally invasive technique.
